Hi Ken, According to my research and experience, Outlook 2016 for Mac adds support for Google Calendar and Contacts. However, to use this feature, we need to join the insider channel first. To become an Insider, simply open up Outlook, click Help Check. Google haven’t made a desktop calendar app. You can add your Google account to Internet Accounts in macOS which will allow you to access your Google calendar in Calendar.app without syncing it with your iCloud account. Alternatively you can use Fantastical which also supports Google Calendar.
